Mark Kelly, President

Mark Kelly is originally from Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Virginia. Prior to McCombs, he worked at Ørsted in roles spanning procurement, supply chain development, and pre-construction estimating for utility-scale renewable energy projects. He supported investment decisions on utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage projects and led cross-functional efforts to improve project economics and reduce costs.
Currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Texas at Austin, Mark serves as President of the CleanTech Group and MBA Golf Club and is a CleanTech Fellow with Grid United, supporting transmission investment analysis. He is interested in pursuing a career in renewable energy project finance and infrastructure investing.
Laura Rivera, Co-VP of CleanTech Fellows

Laura Rivera is a dual-degree MBA/MS Mechanical Engineering student at UT Austin focused on the energy transition. She is originally from Bogotá, Colombia and based in Houston, TX prior to graduate school. She brings six years of experience leading engineering and service projects in the energy sector. She now researches hydrogen’s role in industrial decarbonization, focusing on life cycle emissions and techno‑economic analysis of low‑carbon hydrogen pathways. As Co‑Chair of CleanTech Fellows, Laura helps connect MBA students with hands-on experiences across the clean tech ecosystem. In her free time, Laura enjoys playing padel and traveling.
Brian White, Co-VP of CleanTech Fellows

Brian grew up in Houton, Texas and holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the US Naval Academy. Prior to coming to McCombs, he spent ten years in the US Marine Corps, serving in aviation operations and operational planning roles. Brian is interested in how the increasing demand for energy and society's electrification will affect the energy transition. He is exploring the world of regenerative agriculture as a CleanTech Fellow with Downland. Brian plans to pivot into a career in energy finance post-MBA.
Yeondoo Jeong, VP of Education

Yeondoo is Korean and currently pursuing a dual degree MBA/MA in Energy and Earth Resources at UT Austin, with six years of experience in the downstream energy industry. He has held roles ranging from account management (sales and marketing) to business development focused on assessing prospective areas for new business opportunities.
His goal is to finance renewable projects as a renewable energy developer or through banking renewable power assets. Throughout his career, he has been committed to making the traditional energy industry more sustainable.
At the University of Texas, Yeondoo is a CleanTech Fellow and serves on the Energy Resources Group committee.
Duncan Hemminger, VP of Careers

Originally from Chapel Hill, NC, Duncan holds a double major in Information Science and Economics from the University of North Carolina. Prior to McCombs, he spent six years at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) in Austin. There, he managed research operations for major consulting and private equity clients, often focusing on sustainability and supply chain strategy. As a CleanTech Fellow, he is currently partnering with Silicon Labs to quantify the business impact of their sustainability programs. Duncan is currently pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Strategy & Innovation and will be joining Dell Technologies this summer as a Product Management MBA Intern. Beyond the CleanTech Group, he is also a member of Operations Fellows and Tech Club.
